Speed Browser is a freeware project based on the Chromium engine and, because of that, slightly similar to Chrome, only Speed Browser looks like a racing car converted from a luxury sports cruiser.
The browser is very basic at first sight. It has fewer features, fewer available options for setup and personalization compared to Chrome. It's almost primitive in design. Yet, this has a practical reason. The developers got rid of all the extra features and elements that could potentially slow down the browsing, page loading and file downloads. Those three things are what makes this browser truly useful. It has some of the fastest speeds possible. Response times are great, the very process of browsing is as smooth as one can imagine,
Of course, there are downsides to this focus on speed. Aside from lacking the more advanced features of fellow browsers like Chrome and basically being a bare-bones product, Speed Browser can also be unstable and glitchy. However, this is a minor offence easily fixed by regular updates.
All in all, Speed Browser is a nice solution if you want speed. It's light, fast and free, so there's no reason not to try it out.
